Miss Caller

The day before yesterday I was up till 3.30 in the morning watching the India vs. Bermuda match(and also because there were many mosquitoes enjoying a late night match with their favorite drink. i.e. my blood). I had to wake up early to go to work. So, yesterday I went to bed earlier than usual. Just before 11.00 my sister woke me up to tell me that someone was calling me on my mobile. Before I could pick it up the caller hanged up. He didn't even call back. My slumber was broken and I was up till 2 in the morning. Again!!!!!
And what's more. Today is Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh. A match that will help to decide India's fate in the World Cup. That's three nights in a row!!!!

I am going to die.
And so is that miss caller.

Carnage at Queens Park

I am not talking about India's match against Bermuda.
So we made 413 against them. Big deal!!
I am talking about Saturday. I won't call Bangladesh a giant killer. They have already hunted us before once and Australia too along with others. Now that's killing a giant.
What I really want to talk about is our absolute surrender. Bangladeshis played fabulously that day. They outperformed Blue Brigade in every department.
The real question is why did "the boys" let them?
Sehwag......I don't think I can write anything more about him than what is already written and said. His 114 against Bermuda won't convince me.
The way Dhoni got out was unforgivable.
Tendulkar really confuses me. So does Dravid.
Agreed that bowling was good but was it good enough to destroy the Indian batting line-up? Was it good enough to not put up any resistance?
India's Super Eight entry was taken granted for which is the way it should have been. Now we must win against Sri Lanka and wait to see the outcome of other matches in group B.
This WC is sure turning out to be explosive. India struggling to get to next level.
Pakistan out of the tournament. Bob Woolmer passed away. International cricket and especially South Africa owes to this man big time.
He brought revolution in the sport. With technology and fielding.
Hats off to him!!
